The role of the Vision 21 Malvern Hills Partnership is to bring together, at a local level, the different parts of the public sector as well as the private, business, community and voluntary sectors so that different initiatives and services support each other and work together to improve the quality of life in the area and tackle key issues for local people.

The Vision 21 Malvern Hills Partnership recognises five top quality of life issues for the Malvern Hills District. These are:

• a safe community with low crime;
• secure and fulfilling jobs;
• a proper public transport system;
• protection of the countryside and character of town and villages; and
• housing to suit everyone's needs.

The Vision 21 Malvern Hills Partnership has the following core activities:

• developing the community strategy;
• monitiring and reviewing the community strategy;
• promoting joint working between Partnership members;
• informing the activities of Partnership members;
• leading the debate on relevant issues;
• conducting research and consultation;
• disseminating consultation results; and
• promoting and communicating progress.
